MDC Turns 20
Minto Development Corporation is celebrating 20 years of serving the Seth De Ya Ah Corporation and indirectly its shareholders and the Village! The various Boards of MDC have always had forward-looking vision to engage in profitable enterprises, to provide employment opportunities, to be well managed, and to serve Seth De Ya Ah directly and the Native Village of Minto, Alaska indirectly. Here are a few highlights of MDC’s 20 years:
- Worked with the Tribal Council to create sustainable private employment in Minto. Invested in Alaska’s premier and sustainably sourced water bottling company, Alaska Glacier Products.
- Created a Government Services subsidiary called Minto Global, which as formed joint ventures with several leading companies in several industries, as you’ll read in this newsletter.
- From our humble beginnings, we are maturing, and we will fulfill our mission to provide profitable and diversified entities, services, and employment opportunities in a global marketplace! Young people, I encourage you to get training, and join the MDC family!

- Minto Development Corporation (MDC) was formed on April 1, 2003, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Seth De Ya Ah Corporation, the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) corporation for the Native Village of Minto, Alaska.
- The Vision of MDC is to provide a direct or indirect benefit to Seth De Ya Ah Corporation and nurture a vibrant, healthy, economically self-reliant community for future generations.
- The Mission of MDC is a commitment to grow with innovative, profitable and diversified entities and services that are breaking trails for future generations in a global marketplace.
- MDC Values transparency, respect, trust, and accountability to govern our actions.
- MDC is pursuing partnerships and Joint Ventures in order to be profitable and provide employment opportunities both in Alaska and elsewhere.
- MDC will need employees who have training in business, computer/IT, environmental remediation, accounting and CPAs, attorneys, human relations, management, logistics and distribution, business development, and multiple trades.
- MDC has an Agreement with UAF eCampus to provide free online training and online certifications and degrees at discounted rates!
