What does it mean to “Break Trail”? When there’s a lot of snow on the ground, which is about half the year in Minto, Alaska, somebody has to put on their snowshoes and pack down the snow to create a trail that others can follow. Minto leaders recognize that they’ve got to put on the business equivalent of snowshoes and create a commercial trail for the success of the Village Corporation in order to provide sustainable benefits to present and future shareholders, Tribal members, descendants, and spouses.
From time-to-time, click on the Blog section to see what developments and successes we’ve had. Breaking trail is not easy, but it’s necessary. We’re grateful for the help received by others in Alaska and Tribes in the “Lower 48” and will plan to highlight some of these entities and people in future blogs.
